Your Attitude Empowers Your Possibilities

“With the right attitude you can do the impossible, but with the wrong attitude you will find yourself struggling alone.” ~Cha Jones

When I think about the above quote I think about how people pick and choose their battles. Things that are very simple can seem very difficult when you face them with the incorrect attitude. At this moment what comes to mind are the people who call themselves waking up on the “wrong” side of the bed. You know the people who always look at life from half empty glasses wondering why yours happens to be full. Those are the people that find themselves alone, but want to always invite you to join in on their misery.

When you adjust your thinking about anything you will adjust how much or how little you struggle.  I have a friend that once said to me, “You can’t see the goal, if you take your eyes off the obstacles.”  How real? When you only think about what you don’t have, you leave little room to think about what you do have that can assist you in getting where you would like to be. Change your attitude and look at all the possibilities in your life, situation, and circumstance and the possibilities will start presenting themselves.

If you are one of those people who found yourself getting out of bed on the wrong side this morning or if you find you wake up over there often, then I suggest you look around you and see how your attitude limits you. Most people like being with like minded people, so even if you are not alone due to your attitude you may be surrounded by other naysayers, which is just as lonely. Be empowered to think differently and change your attitude where you visualize the possibilities in all that life has to offer. That’s Gurl Knowledge!

Find Something to Adore, and Find Change...

“Sometimes things don’t go your way, but if you find something to adore in every moment you will soon see how adorable life is”. ~Cha Jones

To adore something means to delight in it. What do you adore at this very moment? Has something interrupted your state of happiness? If, so then the best way to get back to a state in which you can be delightful is finding the things that make you smile. We all have moments where the world seems to be against us or there have even been people who have stepped into our personal spaces and attempted to disrupt our happiness. However, when we find things that we can appreciate during the most trying times, those things make everything simpler.

You are adorable and no matter what you go through in life. Situations don’t change the fact that you are an adorable person. Maybe this has been a very challenging day, maybe you cannot see the sun for the clouds make everything gloomy, or maybe any and everything that could go wrong has. Honestly none of the matters because it is not what you dislike about what is happening that changes how you perceive things. It is more about what you like that allows for change to be possible. Now, it is important that you understand what you don’t like and what makes you feel bad, but it is the desire to find the delightfulness in what you really want that allows for change to be possible. So, even when things seem like they will never change I challenge you to look at those things with a smile, and then find the things you adore about where you are and what you are doing. I promise that you will eventually see change. That’s Gurl Knowledge!

You're Adorable As You Are

“It is better to be adored for being who you truly are,
than adored for who you are not.” ~ Cha Jones

We all have a desire to be adored, but it is only when we are authentic in our actions that someone can truly find us adorable. It is easy to act like something we are not, but when we do so, others cannot see us for who we really are. When this happens we keep our true self hidden from the world.

Let people see you for who you are. You don’t have to be something that you are not for the sake of being accepted. If people accept you when you become someone other than your authentic self, they have accepted a lie. Your truth is much better told than hidden within a lie. You are beautiful, talented, and intelligent as you are, not being who or what someone else wants you to be. If you hide who you are you deny the world from knowing one of God’s greatest creations ~you.

It is easy to think that others won’t understand your situation or circumstances, but to be untruthful for the sake of pleasing others makes you a coward. It not only makes you a coward, but you give your true power away trying to fit into place that is not big enough to accept you in the first place. We all want to be accepted, but allow others to accept you based on who you truly are and not on a false idea of who they think you are. You are powerful in truth. You are beautiful in your own skin. You are amazing when you make others acknowledge you for who you are. You are adorable because you have allowed others to adore you in your own glory. That’s Gurl Knowledge!!
